The most comprehensive option is to attend an ITC Instructor-Led Course at your current certification level or one level lower. Although this option involves a higher investment, it offers the greatest learning experience and is highly recommended for professionals who want to refresh their knowledge and stay up to date with the latest industry developments.
If your certification is still valid, you do not need to write the final examination when attending the course for recertification in the same discipline. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, including full attendance and participation, your certification will be extended for a further five years.
Instructor-led training also provides significant benefits beyond recertification. Participants gain valuable interaction with experienced instructors, practical hands-on laboratory exercises, discussions with fellow thermographers, and exposure to the latest infrared technologies, inspection techniques and industry best practices.
For professionals who are unable to attend classroom training, ITC also offers a cost-effective online recertification examination. This option is available only while your certification remains valid and requires a minimum passing score of 75% to renew your certification for another five years.
It is important to remember that online recertification is not available once your certification has expired. If your certification has lapsed, you must attend an approved ITC training course and successfully complete the required examination to regain your certification.
